SESHEGO – Capricorn XI FC and Seshego Stone Breakers competed in a Polokwane Local Football Association (Polfa) match at the Mohlakaneng sports grounds in Seshego zone 1 on Sunday afternoon.

Capricorn XI beat Seshego Stone Breakers 2-0.

Although both teams started the match on a positive note, Capricorn XI dominated the match from the first blow of the whistle and the first goal was scored within the first 10 minutes by William Lehlaba.

According to Seshego Stone Breakers head coach, Sunnboy Makgoka, the match was well played by both teams and he was happy with his team’s performance.

“The players are still learning. This is our first year in the Polfa league and we want to make our mark in the league.

“The match was balanced but our players failed to score goals. Even though we lost the match, they improved on their performance,” said Makgoka.

He said they played the match according to a plan.

“If you don’t use your chances, you will not win.”

Capricorn XI head coach, Daniel “Shakes” Mokgotho, said the players played well, especially in the second half.

“They created a lot of chances to score and I am happy that they managed to dominate the game.

“The match was good, we could have scored more goals, but we only managed to score only two goals,” said Mokgotho.
