Mopani committee elected to coordinate all athletics

THE Mopani district’s schools athletics committee was elected at the Tivumbeni Multi-purpose Centre last Tuesday.

The committee, which will serve a four-year term, was elected by the various existing Mopani schools cluster committees.

Committee members:

• Chairperson, Peter Maluleke.

• Deputy chairperson, Simon Shi-vambu.

• Vice chairperson track and field in secondary schools, Reginah Nukeri.

• Vice chairperson for track and field in primary schools, Gavaza Ngobeni.

• Vice chairperson cross country, Nelly Rasefate.

• Secretary, Austin Makamu.

• Secretary in charge of minutes, Rhodah Mabidilala.

• Treasurer, Johannes Sehlwane.

• Development officer in charge of coaching, Abraham Lediga.

• Development officer in charge of technical development, Adam Shai.

The committee will coordinate all athletic events in the district.
