Sekgakgapeng Rockets need your assistance

Sekgakgapeng Rockets Softball Club, still in its infant stage, is doing everything possible to keep young people out of trouble and ensure they have a future.

JUST outside Mokopane lies a village known as Sekgakgapeng, which is notoriously known for its high crime, substance abuse and poverty.

Most of the young people from the area have been convicted and sentenced for various crimes.

Sekgakgapeng Rockets Softball Club, still in its infant stage, is doing everything possible to keep young people out of trouble and ensure they have a future.

The team has managed to win the recent Nelson Mandela Charity Cup, which was held in Mahwelereng, and won two bronze medals at an u/17 tournament, which was held in Zebediela in August.

The team also won a gold medal and a trophy at a championships held in Turfloop.

They will represent the Waterberg district at a club development tournament which will be held on December 4.

The Rockets have a dream of being the best in Limpopo, and seek assistance with sponsorship of proper equipment.

The youngsters practise on a dusty field without proper equipment like gloves and helmets.

They need proper softballs, gloves, helmets and bats.
