Coaches to train other coaches
Tanya Bouwman and Lesley Bonne from Zani's Gymnastics Academy recently participated in a Federation de Internationale Gimnastique (FIG) foundation course in Pinetown, Kwa-Zulu Natal and passed with flying colours.
POLOKWANE – Tanya Bouwman and Lesley Bonne from Zani’s Gymnastics Academy recently participated in a Federation de Internationale Gimnastique (FIG) foundation course in Pinetown, Kwa-Zulu Natal and passed with flying colours.
Bouwman placed top in the country and first overall of the coaches at the course with 92,8%.
The countries that participated were South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
All participants were nominated by their countries or regions to attend by invitation only.
The course was facilitated by international coaches Monica Siskova (Slovakia), Fred Pivotti (Belgium) and Barbara Murphy (South Africa).
“The feedback from the organisers about these two coaches’ extremely positive attitude and motivation of the rest of the participants made us very proud,” said the owners of Zani’s Gymnastics, Zani Prinsloo and Annemarie du Plessis.
With this qualification, Bouwman and Bonne are now able to educate and train new coaches in the country.
