Take advantage of available CHAN packages, LTA advises

THE Limpopo tourism industry is ready to welcome the participants and soccer fans who will be in the province for the 2014 African Nations Championships

THE Limpopo tourism industry is ready to welcome the participants and soccer fans who will be in the province for the 2014 African Nations Championships (Chan), which started at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex in Polokwane on Sunday and ends on February 1.

Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) CEO, Fixon Hlungwane has assured travellers and football fanatics that all tourism products in the province will be readily available to visitors.

“The industry has confidence in our capable infrastructure, capacity and personnel that will be deployed and used during the tournament; this was brilliantly displayed during the 2010 Soccer World Cup Tournament,” he says.

Hlungwane says LTA will partner with the Polokwane Municipality to ensure the successful hosting of this tournament, in line with LTA’s Domestic Umbrella Marketing Campaign under the “Play With Us” segment, which promotes sports tourism in the province.

“We have no doubt that the hosting of this soccer tournament will definitely boost the sports tourism profile of the province.

“We would like to urge all fans, potential tourists and the teams to take advantage of the affordable and exciting tour packages available during the tournament.”
