Moraka acknowledged the success of the provincial softball and Capricorn district male netball teams, after winning various accolades at the recent national championships at a short departmental celebratory event held at the department last Friday.
The Limpopo softball team retained the National Provincial Championship title after beating their nemesis KwaZulu-Natal 5-4 in the final held in Kempton Park, two weeks ago.
The Capricorn district male netball team beat Ekurhuleni 49-47 to lift the trophy as national men’s netball champions in North West recently.
Moraka said they are proud of the teams and they must continue shining and raising the Limpopo flag high in all their competitions and tournaments.
Executive member of Limpopo Softball Association, Benny Boshomane said they were encouraged by the the gesture of the MEC and they will continue working hard and ensure that they win all their national matches.
