Eagles clinch victory

During the last match of the season, players of Aces Cricket Club and Eagles Cricket Club challenged each other for the title on 16 May.

Aces won the toss and decided to bowl first. Eagles’ opening batsmen, Theo Janse van Rensburg and Pieter Haasbroek were first in front of the wickets and both were caught out. Janse van Rensburg was caught out for 24 runs while Haasbroek made 15 runs.

Driaan Kruger was out for a duck while Petri de Kock and Michael McNicol were not out.

Opening batsmen for Aces were Innocent Rabakali and Justyn Trueman. Both of them were also caught out, Rabakali for eight runs and Trueman for three. Guido de Marre was the only player from Aces that was not out.

Eagles won by 43 runs.
