Head coach of Noordelikes Rugby Club, Frederick Romijn says no spectators, friends, family members or spouses of the rugby players will be allowed at the opening matches of the Limpopo Blue Bulls Rugby Union North Region 2021 season, to be hosted on Saturday in Polokwane and Louis Trichardt respectively.
The local opening match of the day will see Noordelikes’s third team play against Letaba’s third team at 15:00. The fixture for Noordelike’s second team and Letaba’s second team is scheduled for 16:30 and will serve as a curtain-raiser for the main match between the first teams at 18:00.
Louis Trichardt Rugby Club’s first, second and third teams will play host to the teams of Potgietersrus Rugby Club at the foot of the Soutpansberg.
Romijn asserts that all the players and team officials will be screened before they enter the field.
“We will adhere to all Covid-19 regulations and ensure that there are no impediments on the day. Everyone is happy to finally get on the field and play.”
