Renowned racers to participate in major racing events to be held in Gauteng
Local oval racers, Kerry and Wessel Smit will participate in the Unitimate Car Race
The race is scheduled for 10 April at the Vereeniging race track in Gauteng.
The exciting duo will also compete at the national event set for Star Raceway in Klerksdorp on 17 April.
Wessel, who won a trophy at the Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria last month will be hoping for more silverware at the two events.
His wife, Kerry, said they are ready for the event and they aim to win major titles. “We are competing to win and we want to get more trophies. We have been training hard and preparing for the events. We are excited and we want to make the best of them. We will be competing with many drivers from various clubs in the country and we are more than ready.
It will only be the two of us from Unique Raceway and we wish we could take along more drivers from the province. It is unfortunate that there won’t be any spectators at the event but we are ready to compete,” Smit said.
