Clarke embraces chance to play for Noordelikes

Polokwane-born promising rugby player, Jordan Clarke has embraced an opportunity to play rugby for Noordelikes Rugby Club when the rugby season resumes.

The 21-year-old prop completed his primary school career at Pietersburg Laerskool before joining Glenwood High School in KwaZulu-Natal.

During the past two seasons Jordan was part of the u/21 Lions Rugby Union team but decided to return to his birth town to advance his rugby and academic career.

Jordan will join Noordelikes to help him revive his career.

“I am still young and I believe I still have a lot to offer. I just got a rugby coaching post at Northern Academy. I am looking forward to another adventure and most importantly help the aspiring rugby players in the school to achieve their goals,” Jordan said.

He said he would have loved to remain with the Lions but fate decided otherwise.

“I wanted to continue with the Lions and learn from senior players and grow as a player but it was not to be. I have enrolled with Unisa for a Bachelors in education which I want to pursue.

“In four years I want to see myself as a full time teacher at Northern Academy while playing and coaching rugby.”

Some of his achievements include being selected for the South African Rugby Schools u/18 team after his performance at the 2017 u/18 Craven Week.
