Fencers shine at Western Cape Open

Fencers of the Sello Maduma Fencing Academy collected a number of medals during the Western Cape Open recently hosted.
Anokha van Manen won gold in the u.20 senior foil and bronze in the senior epée. Anokha continues her dominance in women’s foil and hails as top u.20 senior foil fencer in the country.
Safiya Khan Patel earned silver in the u.17 epée and bronze in foil.
Rahul van Manen followed in his teammates’ footsteps and collected gold in both the u.17 epée and foil. This achievement ensured his number 1 position in South Africa in both categories.
