Gymstars excel at rhythmic championships

Gymstars members performed well during the recently held Limpopo Rhythmic Championships for level 4 to 10 gymnasts in Centurion.
Star of her age group, Nika Oosthuizen achieved overall first place for level 4, u.11 gymnasts. She won gold for rope and clubs and a silver medal for free dance.
Other level four gymnasts who achieved medals are Sarome du Plessis, Anlu Lansdel and Precious Maja. Level five gymnasts Jonelrie Botha, Kwezi Lubisi, Tapi Chuma, Neo Mudau and Mapula Makgopa finished in podium positions.
Allene Albertyn, Kgansi Mohlala and Karla Vorster, all level 6, also brought home medals.
Micaela Wood was the only level 7 gymnast to achieve three gold medals.
All gymnasts who made it to the Limpopo team will represent the province at the national Gym Games in Durban next month.
