Polokwane Golf Club’s club challenge on Sa­turday drew 83 entries in various divisions.
In the men’s A-division, Jacques Schee­pers was declared the winner having finished with 68 nett followed by Eddy Baloyi (69 nett on a count in) and Mpho Makhado in third place with 69 nett on a count out. The men’s B-division was won by Sipho Talane with 66 nett and the second position went to Casper Gilfillan (68 nett).
Peter Ascenco led the pack in the men’s C-division after accumulating 65 nett while Willie Viljoen occupied the second spot with 67 nett. The ladies’ silver division was won by Luanie van Rooyen on 71 nett while Mash Makena took the lead in the ladies’ bronze division with 72 nett.
Benhardt Steyn Jnr made the jackpot lucky draw at holes five, eight, 12 and 18 but none of the golfers managed to get their hands on
2 944 units that were payable on the day. Golfers are to enter the club house renovation golf day scheduled for 7 February.
