Lim softball stars in world cup team

Limpopo Softball Association (LSA) is proud of the eight players in its camp that were selected to the South African senior softball team that will represent the country at the Men’s Softball World Championships set to take place in the Czech Republic in June next year. The players were selected after delivering a sterling performance during the National Softball Championships held in Rustenburg in July. The selected players are Phumulo Pheladi (Seshego Raiders), Sello Molokwane (Mamaolo Rebels), Mogau Chupudi, Tidima Kekana, Lesiba Hlometsana, Nthabi Kekana (all Moletlane Texas), Nkomori Chepape and Monda Matwenya (both Lebowakgomo Wild Beasts).
Benny Boshomane, executive council member of LSA said: “They are among the most consistent players of the association. They are doing well for their local teams. They are committed and have represented the province on numerous occasions. Our message to them is that they must keep the provincial flag flying high and help the team bring home medals.”
The specific venues of the World Championships are to be announced in the near future.
