Black Leopards Football Club has bolstered their defence by acquiring the services of Namibian citizen Chris Katjiukua.
The 31-year-old who was previously in the books of Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfits Golden Arrows and Highlands Park Football Clubs was signed by the club last week on a two year deal.
Club Spokesperson, Berry Ramunenyiwa believes Katjiukua’s experience will come in handy.
“We have been looking at him for a while now. He fits our style of play, he has played in the PSL before and his experience will help the team in the upcoming season.”
He also mentioned that the team is ready for the Telkom Knockout fixture against Kaizer Chiefs Football Club set for the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
Ramunenyiwa is adamant that they can claim the scalps of the Soweto giants.
“We eliminated them in one of the big competitions in the country in 2015 and I think we can do it again. We want to win this competition and we can’t allow teams like Chiefs to stand in our way. We are ready for the match and we assure our supporters that we will win it,” Ramunenyiwa added.
