SPCA golf day a success due to support of local businesses

The winner of last Thursday’s annual SPCA golf day competition that took place at the Polo­kwane Golf Club was the team of DLF Projects, followed by the team of Protea Hotel Ranch Resort in the second place. The SPCA’s A-team ended in the third position.
Other teams participating were Nashua, Old Mutual, Mall of the North, Mistry Harshad, Sizabantu Piping and Networth.
Prizes were sponsored by Old Mutual, Aïda, Mall of North, Halewood Liquors, Foschini, Be Fine Clothing, Pick n Pay Cycad and Simply Pizza and golf towels and Tag Heuer gym and laptop bags were also some of the consolation prizes.
Holes were sponsored by Aïda Polokwane, Mall of North, Old Mutual, Montego, Nashua, Tag Training and Rens. Water was provided by Oasis and the golfers enjoyed boerewors rolls donated by Vleislapa Grobler Street.
Selma Landman, committee member of SPCA Polokwane, said that the day was a success and thanked the sponsors and players for their support. “The SPCA can only provide a service if we are supported by businesspeople and the public at large,” she said.
