Two athletes of New Horizon School for Specialized Education will be able to take part in the National Games for Athletes with Intellectual Impairment in Durban later this month after receiving a donation of R7 000 from the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100.
Vukosi Rikhotso and Richard Tisane will be part of the school’s 20 man team that will take part in athletics, basketball, cross country, futsal and netball from 23 to 28 September and, according to Lizzie Vogel, athletics manager of the school, possess great potential.
Vogel accepted the donation during the club’s meeting at the Polokwane Bowls Club last Thursday evening and thanked the Rotarians for their continued support of the school.
