The Captain Knock-out golf challenge played in betterball format by 120 golfers at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday was won by Wayden Peceur and Johan Herbst.
The duo who had accumulated 50 points was followed by Wimpie Knoesen and Callie Naude with 48 points. Dirk Botha and Jaco Pie­terse occupied third position after finishing the challenge with 47 points on a count in. The jackpot lucky draw, paying 1 680 units, was made by Benhardt Steyn at holes three, eight, 11 and 18 with Charles Mara announced as the winner.
Last Wednesday saw 71 golfers taking to the greens in the Captain Knock-out pre-qualifier betterball golf challenge which was won by Emmanuel Runyowa and Mpho Makhado with 48 points. They were followed by two local regular golfers Weyden and Nola Peceur second with 45 points on a count in while Mpho Makena and Charles Olivier finished third with 45 points on a count out. None of the golfers managed to win the jackpot lucky draw that was paying 1 150 units and drawn by Knoesen at holes five, eight, 13 and 14.
