Former Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Toriq Losper signed a two-year deal with Baroka Football Club on Monday.
The 26-year-old who had a short career with former Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions Bidvest Wits Football Club, is expected to give Baroka’s head coach, Watson Nyirenda more options in the midfield.
He brings a wealth of experience to the team after spending six seasons at Ajax Cape Town and in the South African junior ranks. Baroka’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Morgan Mammila said his experience in the PSL will be vital to the team. “He plays in a position that we have been lacking at the moment, so he will add a lot of value to the team.”
Mammila added the Club is aiming to sign more players before the end of the season. “We are not done with the signings. We want to add three more players in the team. We are not in a hurry to sign those players but we need to strengthen the team in order for us to compete,” Mammila said.
