Lentetrap 2018 sees over 250 participants cycling through reserve

The Panarottis Lentetrap 2018 presented by Polokwane Pedallers Cycling Club (PPCC) and held at the Polokwane Game Reserve was well-attended with 253 mountain bikers from all over the province and further afield participating on Saturday.
Competitors had the option of competing in the 70 km, 35 km or 15 km race. The overall winner of the 70 km emerged as William James with a time of 2:46.58 while the first woman over the finish line was Margaret Carstens with a time of 3:22.27.
The overall winner of the 35 km race was Björn Nel with a time of 1:20.50 and Christelle Coetzer was the first woman to finish with a time of 1:33.03.
Charlden Nel was the overall winner of the 15 km race with a time of 34:57.3 and Aicha Mengouchi the first female with a time of 41:14.5.

Margaret Carstens (left) came seventh overall in the 70 km race and was the first woman over the finish line. She also came first in the Elite Lady 19-29 sub-category. On the right is Hannes Erasmus who came second in the Vet Men 40-49 sub-category.
Björn Nel (far right) works hard to take the lead early on in the 35 km race and was the overall winner of the race. On the left is Kadelo Maduna who placed third overall and in the middle is Hans Shongoane who placed fourth in the Sub Vet Men 30-39 sub-category.
William Matapholo (left) finished third in 35 km race in the Elite Men 19-29 sub-category and AJ Burgel (right) finished second overall as well as second in the Youth Men 15-16 sub-category.
Charlden Nel takes the lead from the start of the 15 km race and was the overall winner.
Aicha Mengouchi (167) was the first female over the finishing line in the 15 km race.
