Local golfer Louis Opperman made his opponents eat dust to win the Polokwa­ne Golf Club golf challenge on Saturday.
The competition, played in individual stableford format was entered by 85 golfers. Opperman finished on 43 followed by Mmemezi Dlamini in second place with 42 points. Johann Steynberg settled for third with 40 points on a count in.
Charles Mdhluli and Mpho Makhado finished fourth and fifth with 40 points on a count out and 39 points on a count in respectively.
Andries du Plessis made the jackpot lucky draw at holes three, five, 11 and 13 but none of the golfers managed to win.
The jackpot was standing at 940 units with 750 units payable.
