Some 40 computer, table top and PlayStation enthusiasts participated in the Capricorn Regional Mind Sport South Africa Championships which was hosted at Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé over the weekend.
On Sunday morning a number of competitors were still active behind the screens battling it out in the last leg of the event.
The aftermath of intensely serious gaming since Friday afternoon was also visible with stretchers and sleeping bags scattered around the hall and a gamer who had fallen asleep at a desk.
Organisers could not provide the results at the time of going to print.
