Darts players from as far as Tzaneen and Steelpoort joined players from Polokwane in the final round of trials hosted in
the city on Saturday to secure their place in the provincial teams who will represent Limpopo at the South African Darts Championships in Pretoria in July.
After a whole day of energetic competing the Limpopo men’s and women’s teams as well Polokwane and Capricorn district teams were announced.
The Polokwane and Capricorn teams will play at the same championships as district and association team respectively.
The Limpopo men’s team consists of Boet Naude, Raymond Bagnall, Hendrik van Jaarsveldt, Hannes Smit, George Fraser, Justin Ramoshaba and Tinus Jacobs (team manager).
The women’s team members are Karin Prinsloo, Elien Wessels, Susan van Jaarsveldt, Lodi Fraser, Marietha le Roux, Barbie Molala, Anne Jacobs and Danie Louw (team manager).
Polokwane men’s team consist of Leon Lorden, Freddie Broodryk, Jaco van den Bergh, Neo Dolo, Tumiso Mathabathe and Job Matlebjane (team manager).
The Polokwane women’s team consists of Hazel Masoko, Anet Broodryk, Annecke Broodryk, Jacomina Lorden, Rachel Motimele and Matjatji Pitjadi.
Dolo, Ramoshaba, Broodryk, Jacobs, Lorden, Van Jaarsveldt and Van den Bergh are members of the Capricorn men’s team while the female team consists of Susan van Jaarsveldt, Lodi Fraser, Anet Broodryk, Annecke Broodryk, Anne Jacobs, Dineo Maeyane and Barbie Molala (team manager).
