Swimmers who intend participating in this year’s Ebenezer Mile only have until midnight next Thursday to enter online. The event, described as the most exciting on the Rotary Club of Haenertsburg’s annual calender, is to be held on 17 March.
The hosts and organisers promise that it will be yet another unforgettable occasion which has also lured Californian endurance swimmer Karen Sternberg who has already confirmed her participation this year.
Online entries are charged at R145 while entries made on the day will cost R170.
The start and finish point for this year’s event has been moved to Old Smokey, the Lepelle Recreation Club located approximately 500 m past the former starting point, the Mountain Yacht Club. Signposts will be placed next to the road.
This year’s race will once again offer a 1 600 m (mile) and 3 000 m swim for junior and senior male and female swimmers.
To enter online visit www.rotaryhaenertsburg.co.za for the link to the registration form.
