Avid local golfer Edwin Mackays proved to his opponents that practice makes perfect when he finished first on 42 points to win a golf challenge at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
Mackays was followed by Aart Juriaanse with 41 points and Duane Viljoen on 40 points. The challenge which was played in individual Stableford format attracted 84 golfers.
Richard Schulenburg made the jackpot lucky draw at holes two, eight, 11 and 15 but none of the participants managed to win. The jackpot was standing at 1 120 units but only 890 units were payable. The two clubs, paying 150 units, was won by Adam Milanzi, Thys de Kock and Juriaanse.
