Baroka Football Club goalkeeper, Oscarine Masuluke’s team mates are going all out to garner public votes for him after his nomination for a Fifa Puskás Award.
The team engaged in a meet and greet session with shoppers at Savannah Mall on Tuesday, ahead of their match against Bidvest Wits scheduled for Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
Chief Executive Officer of the club, Morgan Mammilla said the session was a way of thanking the supporters for the support they have shown them in the Premier Soccer League. “We are a community team and felt it befitting to give members of the community an opportunity to interact with the players and get to know them better. We wanted to show them that we appreciate their support and urge them to keep on supporting us at our home and away matches,” Mammilla said.
On the day defenders, Punch Masenamela and Matome Kgoetyane shared their birthday cupcakes, organised by the club and prepared by Falcon Rock Spur, with some of the shoppers.
Amy Goosen, Marketing Manager for Savannah Mall said it was good to host Baroka at the centre. “They are a community team and we are a community mall. Most of our shoppers are soccer supporters and it was good to see them interacting with their favourite players,” Goosen said.
She wished the team the best of luck for the rest of the season and afterwards joined the many fans who took photos and selfies with Masuluke.
