Local golfers take to the course

Local golfers Jakes Jacobs and Yaya Aziz were crowned champions on Saturday in a Betterball Championship sponsored by a local motor dealer that took place at the Polokwane Golf club.
Calm winds and slow putting surfaces prevailed on Saturday when the duo took the honours for the day with 49 points while Thabo Shingange and Adam Milanzi finished second with 45 points followed by Les Cook and Kobus Marnewick on 44 points in third place.
Nearest to the pin on hole eight was awarded to Milanzi and Shingane had the longest drive on hole two.
A total of 66 players took part in the competition.
