Baroka Football Club has secured the services of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Lewis Macha last Wednesday.
The Zambian international who played six official matches for Chiefs last season signed a two year deal with the Ga-Mphahlele based outfit.
Club Spokesperson, Jimmy Ngobeni also said their former striker Gift Motupa has returned to the club on loan after a short spell with Orlando Pirates. Motupa joined the Buccaneers in 2015 and played 17 PSL matches for the Soweto outfit. He boasts four international caps for the South African u.23 men’s team and two for Bafana Bafana.
“Motupa has rejoined us on loan from Pirates and started training last week. He is a good striker and we believe he will add value to the team. Macha is also a good striker. We are aware that he was not playing regularly at Chiefs but his style of play suits our team very well.”
Macha has not started training with the team due to the finalisation of his work permit.
“We are still finalising his work permit. We hope to sort it out before the end of this month,” Ngobeni explained.
