A thunderstorm caused the South African Institute of Civil Engineering (Saice) Golf Day to be cancelled and rescheduled to next year.
The event was scheduled for Friday at the Polokwane Golf Club but soon after the first team teed off the day had to be cancelled due to an electric storm and possible hail.
Organiser of the event Louise van der Linde said Saice will host the golf day next year at a date still to be confirmed. No results were available.
