Black Leopards Football Club remains second on the log of the National First Division after drawing 2 all against Mthataha Bucks at Mthatha Stadium on Sunday.
Leopards’ goals were scored by strikers Ivan Mahangwahaya and Mowape Mosunde.
Club Spokesperson Berry Ramunenyiwa described the result as step in the right direction. “I said at the beginning of this season that we want to go back to the Premier Soccer League and I believe we are on the right track. We have assembled a strong team led by a good technical team. We did not start the season well but we are stable now and we want to win every match for our fans,” Ramunenyiwa said.
He added they were well prepared for their match against University of Pretoria whom they play at Thoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
“The team knows the importance of winning that match. We dropped a lot of points at the beginning of the season and we can’t afford to lose any matches, so we are going for victory and nothing else,” Ramunenyiwa said.
