The Management of Baroka Football Club is confident that the team will start collecting points when the Premier Soccer League (PSL) returns from a Fifa International break on 15 October.
Baroka has been struggling to find their feet in the league since its opening in August. In their last five matches they managed to collect only three points from their match against Platinum Stars.
Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Morgan Mammila attributed the team’s poor performance in the league to a lack of experience. “We have a young team that has never played in any big league. Most of them are shaky during the matches, they are unable to convert simple chances and that is natural at this stage. However, we are confident that they will deal with those nerves and win matches,” Mammila said.
He stated that they are certain of a victory against Cape Town City Football Club whom they play at Cape Town Stadium on 15 October. “It is an important match which we have to win in order to move up in the log. We are in 12th position which is not good at all,” Mammilla said.
