Eksteen Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Promotions will once again host the Tini Eksteen Memorial Challenge South Africa World International Martial Arts Association and Organisation (WIMAAO) King of the Cage Part 2 Championships on 4 November.
The event will be hosted at Eksteen’s Dojo next to the Peter Mokaba Stadium and is sanctioned under international flagship of WIMAAO headquarters in Dublin, Ireland under the South African Presidency of Henri Eksteen who is also the chief referee and the master of ceremonies for the evening. The event is hosted in honour of the Eksteen’s father, Tini.
“Since I started cage fighting in Polokwane, this particular championship has drawn the biggest fight card with already 29 fighters who entered. Most fighters are from the Eksteen stable with several others from Tzaneen, Mokopane, Louis Trichardt and Gauteng who will be fighting it out to be crowned as King of the Cage,” Eksteen said.
The event includes divisions for women, teens and men and the popular last man standing at the end of the evening. The last man standing will receive between R5 000 and R10 000 in prize money as well as the title King of the Cage.
“Sponsors of the event will be allowed to put up promotional items at the dojo during the evening. We also have six ringside tables at R3 500 per table which include two bottles of sparkling wine and two platters. Tickets are already on sale at R100 per ticket. Doors open at 18:00,” Eksteen said.
