Karassellos, Scriven take win at annual Lentetrap

Bikers of all kinds, young, old, amateur and professional enthusiastically grabbed at the first opportunity to celebrate spring on Saturday when the E.H. Hassim Lentetrap was hosted in Polokwane Game Reserve.
The perfect weather was ordered with a cool morning breeze ensuring good riding conditions. First to respond to the setter’s gun were the entrants in the 70 km marathon followed by those in the 35 km and the 17 km fun run.
John Karasellos won the marathon in a time of 1:36.34 while the first woman, Shirley Scriven was home in 2:44.17.
Paul Dando won the 35 km in 1:36.29 while Theresia Lessing claimed victory in the women’s category with a time of 2:06.1.
Bevan Muller claimed first place in the 17 km fun ride in just over 45 minutes while Aicha Mengouchi took first place in the female category with a time of 47 minutes.
