Last week fencers from Firebird Fencing Club made history by becoming the first ever fencers in the province to achieve provincial colours.
Firebird media relations officer, Tersia Goosen explained that Limpopo never had enough fencers neither did the province comply with the criteria to be able to achieve provincial colours.
“Since last year we were in line with the criteria and are proud to announce that within the five years of Firebird Fencing Club’s existence we awarded seven fencers with provincial colours last week,” Goosen said.
