The team, affectionately known as Bakgakga, increased their lead in the division on Saturday when they beat their nemesis, Witbank Spurs 1-0 to take the lead in the division with 59 points. In their last two matches they will face African Warriors who are battling relegation and 6th placed Milano United.
Head Coach Kgokolo Thobejane is adamant that they will win next two matches and march on to the PSL.

“We played tough matches recently, matches that we never thought we would win. One match that comes to mind was against Thanda Zulu Royal who are fighting relegation. They were a difficult team to break and played very defensively but we are glad to have won the match.
“As for Witbank Spurs they beat us in the opening match of the season at Makhulong Stadium and we are glad to finally have won against them. Honestly, I don’t see any team stopping us now we are going straight to the PSL,” Thobejane said.
On Saturday they will face a stern test against Super Sport United during the Nedbank Cup semi-final match set to take place at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
Thobejane is adamant that they can cause another major upset and defeat United to become the first team from the province to reach the final of the Nedbank Cup.
“Like I said before, we can do it against Super Sport United. We respect them but we are not afraid of them. We have beaten three PSL teams on this Nedbank Cup journey. We won’t allow them to stand in our way. The objective is still the same and we want the NFD title in the Nedbank Cup,” Thobejane said.
