The 15th annual Ebenezer Mile recently hosted, attracted 309 swimmers who competed in various categories.
The popular mile (1 600 m) event saw Pia Stewart finishing first in the female open category with a time of 24:18.57 followed by Linda de Nysschen and Marjoné de Beer in second and third respectively while Adbul Railoun claimed victory in the open male category (19:02.56) and 3 000 m (35:05.22) with Reino van Wielligh finishing second and Brandon Thysse third in both.
Anel de Vos finished the 3 000 m for women in 43:37.23, nearly three minutes ahead of runner-up Annelize Mentz. Adriana Venter finished third.

The top three positions in the mile for boys u.13 went to AJ Jordaan, Erno Botha and Bernard Mentz respectively. With them is a Powerade representative.
Women 31 years and up mile category winner Pia Stewart shares a happy moment on the podium with third place winner Lesley Schultz. Runner-up Linda de Nysschen was absent.
The mile top three swimmers in the men’s 31 years and older category are Kobus van Straaten (third), Francois le Roux (first) and Terry Papadopoulos (second).
The winners of the 3 000 m men’s category are Brandon Thysse (third), Adbul Railoun (first) and Reino van Wielligh (second) with a representative from Powerade.
