Overall win for Strydom at Boabab Classic

Tens of golfers flocked to the Polokwane Golf Club to participate in the annual Boabab Classic hosted in the city from Thursday to Saturday.
Players competed individually as well as teams with the final day’s results and combined scores to determine the winners.
Saturday saw Llewelyn Prenzler claiming victory for the day followed by Hannes le Roux and James Strydom in second and third respectively. Vincent Olley and Gail Wynne took the fourth and fifth position for the day.

Claiming the prizes for nearest to the pin were Stefan Beyers (8th) and Ralfie van Ralfenstein (16th) while Dougie Eager scored nearest to the pin for two shots on the 18th hole. Leon Prince succeeded with the longest drive on the 5th hole.
During prize giving Saturday afternoon Strydom top scored over the three day tournament and was announced as individual winner with Prenzler as runner-up.
The team consisting of Niel Rathman, Niko Koster, Glenn Wynne and Jannie Bronkhorst was announced as the overall winning team with James Strydom, Riaan Strydom, Pieter Pretorius and Riaan Coetzee claiming second place.
