Despite their recent slump in the National First Division (NFD) Black Leopards Football Club remains confident of being automatically promoted to the elite league. This despite the fact that since the beginning of the season the Lidoda duvha has been blowing hot and cold losing and drawing important matches.
In their last 14 matches they only managed to amass 18 points which puts them in ninth position of the league.
Club Spokesperson, Berry Ramunenenyiwa was adamant that the club rise would again to top the NFD. “The league is not yet finished. There are a lot of matches still to be played and we are confident that we will come out with maximum points,” Ramunenyiwa said.
He also mentioned that the slump was the result of poor start of the 2015/16 NFD season.
“We did not start the season well. We had challenges with coaches but now we are sorted out in the coaching department and we have a coach which we believe will help us to achieve our goal which is to gain an automatic promotion,” added Ramunenyiwa.
On Saturday they will be hoping for maximum points when the lock horns with the fifth places Royal Eagles at Thohoyandou Stadium. “They are good team with quality players and we will give the respect they deserve but it is important for us to win the match,” Ramunenyiwa said.
