Polokwane City Football Club will be hoping to continue their present scintillating form when they take on Ajax Cape Town in their fourth fixture of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
City started the season well by defeating the likes of Bloemfontein Celtic, drawing against last season’s champions, Kaizer Chiefs and losing to University of Pretoria.
They are currently in the 11th position of the league with four points, while Ajax lies on the second position of the log with six points after three games and following a two week Fifa International break.
Chief Operations Officer of the team, Tincy Tema said the break gave them time to strategise and prepare for the match.
“We played a couple of friendly matches that showed us our weaknesses and strengths. Mostly we saw our weaknesses and it is something that we worked on during the break. As for the Ajax game we lost to them once last season. They are not an easy team to play, especially not in their backyard, but we play to win every match whether at home or away,” Tema said.
