POLOKWANE – There is nothing more preciously divine on earth than the transcending power of education.
The mesmerising sweetness of education is so amazingly phenomenal. Education breeds superb brilliance and majestic excellence in any human mindset. Through the pursuit of explorative education, a nation can reach for the stars and accomplish greatness. Children that are actively passionate about education are a crystal mirror of a nation’s future. The qualitative value of primary education always determines the future prospects of a country. Last week Wednesday (15 January), my beloved wife and I accompanied our 6-year-old daughter, Naledi Masoga, to her new primary school. As schools officially reopened that day, it was Naledi’s first day at school, enrolling for Gr 1.
As we passed through the school gate and advanced closer to her Grade 1 class, I looked at Naledi with joyful emotions and remarked: “My angel, you have been wishing so much to enrol at a primary school. And today your beautiful dream has come true. This is where you will begin to create your own path of greatness.”
Honestly, I shed tears of joy when I was staring at my daughter in her new school uniform. As a father, I knew very well that this Gr 1 would become a definitive crystal mirror of my daughter’s ideal future.And as I looked around, I could see other joyful parents hugging and kissing their cute kids.
Many kids I encountered at the school were openly excited but some were visibly emotional and uncertain about their new experience. It is an exquisitely awesome experience for parents to witness their Gr 1 kid’s first day at school. To this day, my soulful heart is still trapped in the mesmerizing sweetness of that priceless moment.
As loving parents, we must always invest our time and dedication in the cognitive education of our children.
Learners that receive educational support from parents are likely to be more brilliant and diligent at school. Children see, in their parents, a defining embodiment of their aspirational dreams and ideals. Primary education is a powerful foundation of a child’s cognitive development and explorative ingenuity. I wish all Gr 1s the best of the best in their new journey of knowledge, hard work, diligence and brilliance. A fascinating new world of exploration and possibilities awaits them.
