10 Ways you’re limiting yourself without realizing it

Relentless Youth with Nhlanhla: There are three categories of people that I know; those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who don’t know what happened. Which are you?

The dream factor (part 3)

There are three categories of people that I know; those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who don’t know what happened. The first group acts on their dream, work their plans and live intentionally. The second group tends to justify their state of nothingness or blame it on someone else…  they also have negative voices discouraging them against intentional actions towards their dreams in the fear of failure or rejection. At the end, they look back in old age and regret they were afraid to do or say and the dreams they did not pursue because they could not advance to greatness.

The following are limitations of greatness:

  1. The arrival syndrome. Never believing that today’s success is already there and that you end up burning bridges to the next level. Success is not a destination.
  2. Settling for less. People tend to celebrate mediocrity, settle for average, too little and second best. Sometimes they believe that they deserve less than what their brains conceive.
  3. Unbelief. The extent at which you will achieve your goals is depended on your faith in the product.
  4. Focusing on history. People tend to want to stay in a product that was once effective. Living today but flirting with the past. This makes people to try save something that infinitely inferior to what you can be.
  5. Laziness. Laxness can be linked with poverty and poor character. Much food is in the pillage of a lazy man. It is written in the bible that a lazy man berries in hands a bowl of soup but it wearies him to bring it bow.
  6. Fear of losing the current accolades
  7. Failing to prepare for the next season. Success happens when opportunity meets preparation (Zig Zaggler).
  8. Believing God for a miracle in areas that require self-discipline.
  9. Fear of being different. Great discoveries were made people who looked at the same things as others but decided to think differently about it.
  10. Giving up too soon. Many of life’s failures are people who never discovered how close they were to success.

In the next article, I will expand on other positive note: qualities of successful organizations. Till next time, keep your dream alive.
