Northern Muslim School crowned Dept’s best performing school

Takura Warinda, the principal, said the award motivates them to work harder in maintaining a 100% matric pass rate every year.

POLOKWANE – Northern Muslim School won the Department of Education’s best performing school awards at a ceremony held in Polokwane on March 19.

The school was recognised for their efforts and consistently producing a 100% pass rate for the past 10 years.

Takura Warinda, the principal, said the award motivates them to work harder in maintaining a 100% matric pass rate every year.

“We contributed to the provincial top 20 matriculants last year. We had more learners with distinctions and bachelor passes last year. So, the award speaks volumes to our hard work and our classroom accomplishments.”

Warinda thanked parents and the school stakeholders for ensuring that the school maintains a 100% pass rate every year.

“We are a community school and we work well with our parents and various stakeholders. We need to be consistent and avoid complacency.”

The awards recognise top performing schools and learners in the province.
