Sports scholarships for Noordskool rugby duo
Noordskool rugby coach Christian Liebenberg told Review that both Luthando Gumbo and Thuto Noepe are talented sportsmen who work hard and take their rugby very seriously.
POLOKWANE – Laerskool Pietersburg Noord Primary School (Noordskool) Gr 7 u/13 rugby boys, Luthando Gumbo and Thuto Noepe, participated as part of the Limpopo Blue Bulls team during the school holiday in Pretoria and Bloemfontein and represented the province well.
During the Bloemfontein tournament, Limpopo ended sixth out of 11 schools.
Gumbo received a sports scholarship to attend Jeppe High School for Boys in Gauteng and Noepe received a sports scholarship to attend Hoërskool Monument in Gauteng, which leaves them with big decisions to make for their future.
Noordskool rugby coach Christian Liebenberg told Review that both Gumbo and Ngoepe are talented sportsmen who work hard and take their rugby very seriously.
“They both encourage other learners to play their hearts out,” he said.
Gumbo regards himself as a great team player and a good leader among his peers, while Ngoepe said he wants to pursue my sports career in rugby and believes it is important for players just to enjoy every moment.
“Setting a good example for others is a huge priority for me,” Ngoepe added.
