Frogfoot 7’s rugby fever to hit Tom Naudé this weekend

Rally your crew or your family for an epic day out at the Frogfoot 7s Rugby Tournament on Saturday at Tom Naudé.

POLOKWANE – Rugby lovers in the city can look forward to an action-packed day of sevens rugby at the Frogfoot 7s Rugby Tournament on Saturday (September 9).

Hosted at Technical High School Tom Naudé, the televised event will see various schools participate and will sure to be a fun day out for the entire family.

Miranda Du Preez, head of brand activation at Frogfoot said the idea for the tournament was born from a wish to give something back to communities, especially in light of current challenges and the drought of festival-type events brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, while also providing another platform for South Africa’s immensely talented school players to shine.

“The school rugby players have the opportunity to attract the attention of sports scouts looking for new talent. Being a televised event, it’s a perfect opportunity for the young talent to shine and of course, our aim is to raise awareness about the benefits of fibre connectivity, which is changing the way we live, study, work and play,” Vox’s head of strategic marketing Blanka Sulentic said.

Food stalls will be available on the day and entry is R20 per person and R10 per car. Kids can enter for free!
