Learners encouraged to enter PEPPS’ Speech and Drama festival
Registration closes on July 24, and the competition is open to all learners from Gr R to Gr 12.
POLOKWANE- PEPPS Polokwane invites local learners to take part in the first PEPPS Speech and Drama Festival.
The festival is in collaboration with the Speech and Drama Association South Africa (Sadasa) and will take place from August 21- 25.
Registration closes on July 24, and the competition is open to all learners from Gr R to Gr 12.
The fee per school is R300.
All talents will be covered as the festival offers a wide range of categories for learners to participate in including impromptu speech, prepared public speech, poetry, storytelling and monologues.
Bonay van der Schyff, the organiser of the festival urged schools to participate saying it is a good opportunity for learners to develop self-confidence and get exposed to different adjudicators. She explained that for the festival, they have external adjudicators from Sadasa, however they are looking for affordable options for schools to be adjudicated.
