Comrades’ oldest runner inspires Little Achievers

Comrades Marathon record breaker Johannes Mosehla motivated Little Achievers learners on the importance of keeping fit and looking after your body.

POLOKWANE- Learners at Little Achievers last Wednesday had to opportunity to meet Johannes Mosehla, a local runner who, at the age of 81, two weeks ago improved a 34-year-old Comrades Marathon record as the oldest participant.

Mosehla visited the school and shared his thoughts on the importance of being active and following a good diet to live a healthy, happy life.

“Your body is like a car. If you park the car in the garage and never use it, it rusts away. But if you look after it, it will give you many years of joy.”

Learners all followed in his footsteps as Mosehla jogged around the school.

Afterwards, he also explained how important it is to have goals.
