POLOKWANE – Through prayer, the Gr 12 learners at Flora Park Comprehensive High School are confident about the outcome of their upcoming final examinations.
They held a successful farewell day on October 21, filled with prayer and well wishes from their teachers and School Governing Body.
The school’s president, Jennifer Musengwa said although they had always put in the hard work during the course of the year, their failure of not reaching the 100% pass rate is because of not dedicating their studies to the All-knowing God.
The event, held at the hall saw the learners in their best outfits, as some received merit awards for performing outstandingly throughout their journey.
During the awards-giving session, the principal Joseph Masekela said the learners should not only use prayer as a weapon but also use their time wisely to study and ask for assistance from anyone trustworthy, who would gladly assist.
The school’s previous pass rate is 94.5% and Masekela said that will change through their turnaround strategies.
“We had a camp during the school holiday and subject festivals for mathematics and physical sciences. We know that our Saturday lessons focus on individual performances. This will also assist with the afternoon lessons,” he said.
Masekela told the learners that he wished that they could be counted among the top 10 schools in the province with a 100% bachelor passes.
