Head of sport at Tom Naudé, Kobus de Meyer concluded that there were no records broken during the event, but all schools did well as they produced outstanding results.

POLOKWANE – Limpopo schools participated in the annual Marius Lengton 35th Memorial Athletics Meeting held at Tom Naudé Technical High School on Saturday.

The athletics were sponsored by Nashua Total Workspace Solutions Group who wants to see Limpopo athletes grow and reach the top.

Athletes from the host school, and Hoërskool Merensky, Hoërskool Pietersburg, Hoërskool Nylstroom and Hoërskool Ben Vorster battled it out in hurdles, high and long jump, shot put, javelin, discus as well as sprints and long distance running.

“These competitions really sharpen our sport skills on the track and field. As a shot put athlete, the more I participate in such events, the more I feel confident about my performances on the field, while I represent my school and make my parents proud at the same time,” Annika Kotze from PHS said.

Seeing that all the athletes put in a lot of effort, head of sport at Tom Naudé, Kobus de Meyer concluded that there were no records broken during this event, but all schools did well as they produced outstanding results.

“A very well done to all the athletes who took part in this event.”
