POLOKWANE – Laerskool Ivypark principal Willem Opperman has congratulated their Gr 1 learner Thendo Munyai for obtaining first position in mathematics at the Capricorn South District Foundation Phase Curriculum Enrichment Activities held in Lebowakgomo recently.
Thendo beat myriads of learners from primary schools in the Capricorn district south as well Mogodumo and Mphahlele circuits for the coveted prize.
Opperman said Thendo joins a rich list of other top performing learners from the school who have excelled in various school activities throughout the year. “He has been amazing in school activities. He obtained a distinction in mathematics in the July exam.
We wish him well in the next stage of the competition.”
Thendo dedicated the accolade to his teachers and fellow classmates. “We have good teachers who are always willing to help. I am happy to be number one in the competition and I will continue to work hard.”
