POLOKWANE – PEPPS’ foundation phase learners wowed the audience during their African Footprint concert on September 21.

Learners imitated animals that are seldom found outside of Africa in celebration of Heritage Day.

Gr 1-3 learners had their faces painted and wore animal printed t-shirts which represented a specific theme.

Gr 1’s were hippopotamuses, Gr 2’s were zebras and lions while Gr 3’s were crocodiles.

Backstage, learners who were yet to perform could not contain their excitement as they eagerly awaited their turn on stage in the John Tladi Hall which was packed to capacity by parents and family members.

The learners who also spoke confidently on stage impressed the audience when they delivered their lines perfectly in the introductory phases of all their songs. Most said they had practiced for too many weeks to forget.

A parent, Ezekiel Morule mentioned that it was a night to remember and appreciated the efforts by teachers and learners to deliver an stunning performance.
